Description: The white winter truffle is round with a smooth-textured surface. It is not white in color, but yellow to brown, with brown spotting increasing as it matures. It has a translucent, grey flesh marbled with thin, white veins. White winter truffles release penetrating aromas of garlic, spices, musk and cheese when fully mature.

Description: The black summer truffle's fruiting body is black, round and covered with small diamond-shaped projections, moulded by stones surrounding it in the soil. When mature, this truffle is actually dark brown to black on the surface with a pale grey flesh and white marbling that does not change color when exposed to air. It has a woodsy aroma with a mild, wild mushroom-like flavor.

Description: The Himalayan truffle has many similarities to the black Perigord truffle, including color and size. However, it can be easily distinguished from the Perigord truffle by the veins on the flesh of the truffle as well as its lack of discernible taste or flavor.
